Each year, the Interceltic Festival of Lorient at the start of August welcomes representatives of Celtic cultures from around the globe. The inter-Celtic festival is a great gathering of Celtic cultures from Canada to Australia. More than 200 events including many free concerts, animate the ten-day festival from the Quai des indes to the fishing harbour, the Palais des Congres, the Grand Theatre, and the Stade du Moustoir. Each year, there can be a new festival in Lorient Bretagne sud. The spring continues... In the beginning of march, "Les Insolites", a new concept in evenings at Lorient Bretagne Sud. The program includes thematic evenings at unusual locations, music, and catering that promotes local artists. The K2 bunker at Lorient La Base is transformed into a ski resort for its first edition. Gondolas, trees and more are included. The theme is mountains and winter sports. The Insolent Festival by Lorient is an annual event that has 2 editions. The Ascension Weekend is a time to be aware of the strong weather. In the towns of Gavres and Locmiquelic as well as Riantec, street art is on display.
